What we collect
- Game data. The nickname you enter and every move made in a game are stored so games can be spectated and replayed. Nicknames are chosen by you and need not identify you — we recommend not using your real name.
- Optional accounts. If you sign in with Google or Discord we store your provider account id, email address, a nickname (which you can change), your provider's profile image URL (displayed next to your nickname and on the win screen — we serve the image from the provider, never from our own servers), and aggregate gameplay statistics (games played, wins, and similar counters). We never see or store your password. You can delete your account — including stats, history links, and email — at any time from the account page; finished games remain replayable but are no longer linked to you.
- Browser storage. We use your browser's local storage to remember your nickname and your seat in games you've joined (so a refresh doesn't drop you from a game). This never leaves your device except to rejoin your game.
- Server logs. Like nearly every website, our server temporarily logs IP addresses and requests for security and debugging.
Advertising
WordBranch may show advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads; where required, you will be asked for consent before any personalized advertising is used, and you can decline. Learn more or opt out at Google's advertising policies.
What we don't do
- No selling of personal data.
- No tracking across other websites by us.
- No passwords — sign-in (optional) is only via Google or Discord.
